The Rolex Submariner Date 126619LB combines a white-gold case and bracelet with a black dial and blue ceramic bezel. It is a specific configuration, not simply a steel Submariner with a different colour. For a buyer, material, weight and condition matter as much as the striking bezel.
Rolex’s 2020 launch material describes the new white-gold Submariner Date’s black-dial and blue-bezel combination. Its reference-specific specification identifies a 41 mm case in 18 ct white gold.[42][41] Use the reference rather than an informal nickname to keep comparisons clear.
Identify the configuration accurately
Request photographs of the dial, bezel, case sides, bracelet and clasp. Ask the seller to confirm the full reference and material in writing. A silver-coloured appearance alone cannot tell you whether a case is steel or white gold.
The 2020 announcement introduced a larger 41 mm case and a broader bracelet across the new Submariner generation.[42] That makes it important not to merge descriptions from earlier blue-dial watches with this black-dial configuration. Treat each reference on its own terms.
A nickname may be useful conversationally, but it does not establish originality, production details or value. If two listings use the same nickname, still check that they describe the same reference and dial.
Know the functions you are buying
The Submariner Date uses a date display and a unidirectional 60-minute timing bezel. Rolex identifies calibre 3235 for the Submariner Date and approximately 70 hours of power reserve for this movement family.[11] The time-only Submariner uses a different calibre.
Ask for a setting demonstration and check date operation as part of the inspection. Power reserve is a manufacturer specification, not proof that a used watch has recently been tested. Request information about the actual movement checks and available service records.
The original water-resistance specification is 300 metres.[41] For a pre-owned example, establish current sealing condition before water use. An intact-looking watch and a historical specification are not a substitute for an appropriate recent assessment.
White gold changes the wearing decision
Try the watch for several minutes with a correctly adjusted bracelet. Assess weight, balance and comfort rather than choosing on appearance alone. If you normally prefer light watches, compare it directly with a steel alternative during the same visit.
Inspect case edges and the bracelet’s polished and brushed surfaces. Ask about previous polishing or refinishing and whether any parts have been replaced. A clean photograph cannot tell you how much material may have been removed during earlier work.
Check the bracelet link count and clasp operation. Rolex’s Submariner documentation describes the Glidelock adjustment system on the Oyster bracelet.[11] Have its adjustment demonstrated and confirm the actual bracelet can fit your wrist comfortably.
Compare the exact example and its terms
Obtain a current price in RM and an itemised accessory list. Ask whether the box, guarantee card and service receipts are present rather than assuming every listing is a full set. Clarify any remaining manufacturer warranty and the separate seller terms.
When comparing prices, match material and reference first, then account for age, condition and service evidence. A steel Submariner or an earlier white-gold reference is not a direct price equivalent.
Choose it for the combination
The 126619LB is worth considering if you want the black dial, blue bezel and feel of white gold together. It should not require a forecast of appreciation to justify the purchase. Understand the watch, the maintenance path and the condition of the individual example before deciding.
Compare watches and ask questions
Browse the Rolex collection for current listings. If an existing watch is part of your decision, read about trade-in options and request an individual assessment. Availability, condition and included accessories vary by watch.
